After a long day outdoors Danbury Plaza Hotel is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and an afternoon playing golf at Ridgefield Golf Course is always a delight. The high level of precipitation makes Round Pond a relatively wet location; May is the month that gets the most rain; January is when it's the driest. Whohoo, so many entertaining things       in one place! Round Pond rocks!. The skiing at Thunder Ridge is delightful, and a good location for whitewater paddling is Norwalk River. A delightful close by hotel is SpringHill Suites Danbury, and why not stop at Mamanasco Lake Dam while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Turtle Pond is right next door to Round Pond, and if you came to camp Mountain Workshop is a glorious spot to do that. This lake is so wonderful. If you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on East Aspetuck River, and you're in all probability hooked on lakes, Mamanasco Lake is one of those nearby. During the long summer days, highs generally are in the 80's at Round Pond, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
