What a nice lake Round Pond is. This lake is so wonderful. Norwalk River is a wonderful whitewater spot close to Round Pond, and after a long day outdoors Springhill Suites By Marriott Danbury is a brilliant place to spend a night or two. You can never get enough of the nice skiing at Thunder Ridge, and dry warm beds await you at Danbury Super 8 Motel. Round Pond commonly gets lots of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is May, and January is the month

Mopus Brook flows through this vicinity, and if you're a golfer then a pleasant nearby course is Ridgefield Golf Course. For the duration of the summertime, highs frequently are in the 80's at Round Pond, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. Swamp near Round Pond is relatively perfect, and Round Pond is not the only site close by, Mamanasco Lake is a close by lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Mountain Workshop, and Mamanasco Lake Dam is not
far at all from Round Pond. If you're visiting Round Pond from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown, you won't be the only one, and Seth Low Pierrepont State Park Reserve is a tremendous place to stretch your legs a bit. Man, is there
a lot of amusing things to do next to Round Pond.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Looking for something near Round Pond? Oscaleta Lake is around here, and from Round Pond you obtain a splendid panorama of Round Mountain.
If you came for an overnight stay Kettletown State Park is a great spot to camp; in case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on East Aspetuck River.
