The high level of rainfall makes Round Pond a rather wet location; May is the month that gets the most rain; January is when it's the driest. This is a popular place for folks from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown, and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on East Aspetuck River. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Springhill Suites By Marriott Danbury. There's so much to do here at Round       Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Clarence Fahnestock State Park is a great place for that. Norwalk River is a glorious whitewater spot in the vicinity of Round Pond, and you can stay the night at Kettletown State Park. Throughout the warmest time of the year highs here at Round Pond get into the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to                  Round Pond. Playing golf is lots of fun at Ridgefield Golf Course; the snow is great at Thunder Ridge. This lake is so wonderful. This is no location for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Going to Seth Low Pierrepont State Park Reserve near Round Pond is a good thing to do, and a magnificent swamp in the vicinity of Round Pond is Pumping Station Swamp. Lakes?
