Risley Reservoir

This is a nice little lake for fishing. Use minnows and you'll catch a lot of pickerel and bass. Worms bring in copious amounts of bluegill. It's a C/R lake. Says DM

Roaring Brook River has a class III-IV segment of whitewater nearby. The 3-mile-from-beginning-to-end Cold Brook Road to Route 17 segment is pleasant to paddle. The Cold Brook Road to Route 17 segment of Roaring Brook River is advised for kayak paddlers of medium practice. Check current conditions
ahead of going on the whitewater, otherwise it's not secure. And that's not all you can do here at Risley Reservoir. Shenipsit Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore, and the summit of Box Hill can be seen from Risley Reservoir.
