| | Ledge is around here. The annual rainfall here at Reservoir Number 2 is about average; throughout June this area sees the most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. And if that's not sufficient, there's a load more to do in close proximity to Reservoir Number 2. time of year, East Aspetuck River offers some tremendous whitewater, and the Appalachian National Scenic Trail offers hiking at its best. Some of the water nearby flows, like Cross Brook, and why not take a refreshing hike along the
Mattatuck Trail. Chestnut Lands is a fine local forest; everyone nearby loves skiing at Woodbury. This lake is so wonderful. Do check out Reservoir Number 3 in the vicinity of Reservoir Number 2, it's a picturesque lake, and after
a long day outdoors Heritage Inn is a glorious place to spend a night or two. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Shepaug River, and at Reservoir Number 2 you can see Aspetuck Hill. Reservoir
Number 2 is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Buck's Rock Camp is a tremendous local campground, and a spree to Lake Waramaug State Park revives the spirit. This lake is so wonderful. At Reservoir Number 2 through the
warm months highs are in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's; nighttime lows at Reservoir Number 2 during the winter commonly drop into the 10's.
