    If you like lakes and you're in this part of Connecticut you can check out Reservoir Number 1. Reservoir Number 1 sees pretty high levels of rainfall; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. An attention-grabbing thing to visit close to Reservoir Number 1 is Carrington Pond Dam; there are wonderful locations to look at along the Regicides Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to stumble  
   upon some good folks from New Haven-Milford here, and Chestnut Hill is clearly visible from Reservoir Number 1.
Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! Reservoir Number 1 is excellent! Looking for something in close proximity to Reservoir Number 1? Seymour Reservoir Number 2 is close at hand, and Osbornedale State Park is a glorious spot to stretch your legs a bit. For you golfers we recommend nearby Golf Club at Oxford.                forget to take a wonderful little visit to Hemp Swamp Brook. There's so much to do here at Reservoir Number 1 that you need to camp here for a while, National Computer Camps is a magnificent place for that.
Don't leave Reservoir Number 1 without first checking out High Rock, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Bantam River. Woodbury is a nice local ski area, and going for a hike on the Naugatuck Trail is always a pleasant adventure. All the outdoors cool stuff close to Reservoir Number 1 will keep you coming back persistently. After a long day outdoors Crowne Plaza Hotel SOUTHBURY is a splendid location to spend a night or two, and Reservoir Number 1 is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Branchbrook Campground is a wonderful local campground.
Throughout the long summer days at Reservoir Number 1 highs are commonly in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Reservoir Number 1. A splendid nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Naugatuck, and Reservoir Number 1 is not the only site close by, Seymour Reservoir Number 1 is a close by lake. Go for a hike on the Mattatuck Trail, and everybody nearby loves skiing at Mount Southington.
