All through the summertime at Rams Pond temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. Summer night lows fall down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Rams Pond temperatures sink to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. There's some out of the ordinary stuff to catch       a glimpse of at Williams Pond Dam near Rams Pond, and if you're a golfer then a pleasant nearby course is East Hartford Golf Course. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Salmon River, and lots of folks from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford come here. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Nelson's Family Campground, and on a magnificent day you can pop by Glastonbury Meadows, a swamp in close proximity to Rams Pond. Don’t forget to stop by Glastonbury                  Meadows since you're here at Rams Pond, and there's great hiking along the Mattabesset Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Washington Trail. After a long day outdoors Howard Johnson Express Inn - Rocky Hill is a good place to spend a night or two; do check out Rosers Pond, it's a lovely lake. Rams Pond truly is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. Powder Ridge has splendid slopes and a friendly staff; Dinosaur State Park is a glorious site. Rams Pond is a wet site that gets a lot of rainfall; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. What a place this is for outdoors people. Take a side visit to Holland Brook, and Crow Point is an exciting location to take a look at while at Rams Pond. A splendid place to camp here at Rams Pond is Camp Eagle Feather; the Metacomet Trail offers hiking at its best.
