    Quist Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Quist Pond is not the only place nearby, Lake Waramaug is a nearby lake, and Mt. Tom State Park is a delightful site to stop by on a gorgeous day. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Mohawk Mountain, and a lake close by is Bates Pond. The yearly precipitation here at Quist Pond is about average; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and January is the month with the least  
   moisture.
The Pinnacle is something you shouldn't miss if you're here at Quist Pond; if you need a location to stay Homestead Inn is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Woodbury is a brilliant location to do that, and if the weather is gorgeous, you get a great sight of Baldwin Hill from Quist Pond. Quist Pond is a place with many visitors from Torrington, and a round of golf at nearby Stonybrook Golf Course is a great way to kill some time.
 
               Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Quist Pond; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and nighttime lows at Quist Pond through the wintertime frequently sink into the 10's. Bantam River is a wonderful whitewater spot near Quist Pond; Pinnacle Valley is another tremendous spot to go to nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Looking Glass Hill Campgrounds is a perfect campground nearby; you can run the rapids of Shepaug River.
Swamps like Meeker Swamp are fun to check out, and the Appalachian National Scenic Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Mattatuck Trail. You simply must have a thing about Quist Pond. If you came for an overnight stay Lake Waramaug State Park is a tremendous location to camp, and hey, Bantam River is a splendid local stream.
Yep, outdoors exciting things to do are really plentiful here at Quist Pond. Heritage Inn is a good place to get some rest, also Quist Pond Dam is worth going to if you're here.
