If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clear and Branch. There is a wonderful hiking trail right next door to Quaddick Reservoir called the Border Trail, and if you get bored of Quaddick Reservoir you could also stop at nearby Lower Pond. Blackmore Brook is a stream that you may bump into while you're here, and you'll meet a lot of people from Willimantic here. Quaddick       Reservoir is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Bowdish Lake Camping Area is a wonderful local campground; you can go for a hike on the Walkabout Trail. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a nice time here at Quaddick Reservoir. If you came to camp Buck Hill Family Campground is a good spot to do that; if you need a location to stay The Inn at Woodstock Hill is a great choice. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Quaddick Reservoir.                  Quaddick Reservoir Dam is not far at all from Quaddick Reservoir, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Killingly (Dayville), Ct. This lake is so wonderful. Quaddick Reservoir is not the only spot nearby, Mary Brown Pond is a nearby lake, and the panorama of Elmwood Hill is beautiful. Quinebaug River is a fine whitewater spot right next door to Quaddick Reservoir, and going for a hike on the Munyan Trail is always a glorious adventure. This lake is so wonderful. A swamp like Thompson Meadows close to Quaddick Reservoir has lots of interesting things to see, and Quaddick State Park is worth visiting. At Quaddick Reservoir during the summer months highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Quaddick Reservoir. Quaddick Reservoir sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is November; the driest month of the year is February.
