     Stay the night at Riverdale Camp Sites; unsurprisingly, this is a fine neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Palmers Pond is a lake nearby. So many cool things to do here at Priess Pond, too great to be true. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Mattabesset Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Horseshoe Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Millers  
   Pond State Park is a good location to explore, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Mattabesset Trail.
Little City Campground is a wonderful campground nearby; what would winter be without some skiing at Powder Ridge. Float down the rapids of Roaring Brook River in a kayak; if you're here you can take a hike along the Washington Trail. Priess Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; all through May this area sees the most rain, and the driest
 
               month of the year is February.
At Priess Pond throughout the warm months highs are in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's; overnight lows in the 10's for Priess Pond. During your visit to Priess Pond you'll meet some folks from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford for sure; if you need a spot to stay Passport Inn and Suites Middletown is a good choice. Paddling on Hammonasset River is so much fun; a great close by hotel is Inn At Middletown.
If you love the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Priess Pond. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can check out Miller Pond Dam, and you acquire a glorious vista of Bible Rock from here.
