    If you are in this part of Connecticut make sure to pay a visit to Priess Pond. Lots of rain falls at Priess Pond; most of the rain falls during May; February is when it's the driest. There's some out of the ordinary stuff to see at Miller Pond Dam right next door to Priess Pond, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Powder Ridge while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is delightful on Hammonasset River; going  
   for a hike along the Mattabesset Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area.
The peak of Bible Rock can be made out from Priess Pond, and you're probably hooked on lakes, Palmers Pond is one of those nearby. If you came to camp Riverdale Camp Sites is a glorious location to do that; at Priess Pond you always meet someone from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford. Get covered with water paddling on Roaring Brook River, and if you need a site
 
               to stay Passport Inn and Suites Middletown is a tremendous choice.
Just can't get enough of Priess Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Have a good hiking adventure along the Washington Trail, and Inn At Middletown is a great spot to get some rest. Millers Pond State Park is a good site to stretch your legs a bit, and hiking along the Mattabesset Trail is delightful fun.
For the duration of the days of summer at Priess Pond highs are commonly in the 80's, and the night is rather chillier of course, regularly in the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Priess Pond. But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Priess Pond. There's so much to do here at Priess Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Little City Campground is a good place for that, and naturally, this is a great area for people who like lakes, Horseshoe Pond is a lake nearby.
