Why not stop by Powers Lake if you're passing through these parts. A forest next to Powers Lake is Nehantic State Forest; Hilltop Inn-Niantic is a magnificent site to get some rest. During the summer at Powers Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. | | is so wonderful. Beaches are tremendous; and Rocky Neck State Park Bathing Beach in the neighborhood of Powers Lake is no exception, and the peak of Artillery Hill can be distinguished from Powers Lake.

to. There's so much to do here at Powers Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Aces High RV Park is a great place for that. All the water falling down from the sky makes Powers Lake a wet place; the month with most of the rain
is November while February is generally the driest month.
Powers Lake is not far at all from Norwich-New London; when you're here it's always fun to stop at Rocky Neck State Park. You feel that's sufficient? Just getting warmed
up. One of the best things about Powers Lake is its proximity to Giants Neck Beach; playing golf is lots of fun at Cedar Ridge Golf Course.
You could also have a look at Pattagansett Lake since you're here at Powers Lake; it's nearby; if you came to camp Rocky Neck State Park is a nice spot to do that.
