This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Hilltop Inn-Niantic is a good spot to spend a night or two, and if you're here and you like golf, you can pop by Cedar Ridge Golf Course. There's so much to do here at Powers Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Rocky Neck       State Park is a pleasant spot for that. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Niantic, and get your heart pumping on the brilliant whitewater of Salmon River. Powers Lake Dam is scenic and it's next to Powers Lake; Darrow Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop at. Powers Lake really is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise. Rocky Neck State Park is a great place to stretch your legs a bit, and you can hit the beach if you want, Rocky Neck State Park                  Bathing Beach is practically right here. Powers Lake is a pretty wet place mostly with a good deal of rain; most of the rain falls through November, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Dodson Pond, and there's a delightful forest called Nehantic State Forest. Summertime highs at Powers Lake usually tend to be in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and night lows through the wintertime for Powers Lake tend to be in the 10's.
