     Poole Pond is in close proximity to Poole Pond Dam which is a pretty place undeniably worth taking a look at. There's so much to do here at Poole Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Charlie Brown Campground is a wonderful spot for that. All the water falling down from the sky makes Poole Pond a wet place; the month with most of the rain is November while February is usually the driest month. For the period of the summertime months here at Poole Pond,  
   high temperatures commonly reach the 80's while night lows are regularly in the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Poole Pond through the winter commonly drop into the 10's. If you need a place to stay Travelodge Sturbridge is a brilliant choice, and if you're here, you could also visit pretty Harakleys Pond.
There's just no way someone can get bored here at Poole Pond. Mansfield Hollow State Park
 
               is a delightful site any time of year, and Sabo Pond is a nearby lake that you could pop by. You get a great view of Bucket Hill from Poole Pond; dry warm beds await you at Best Western Regent Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Visit Bigelow Brook while you're here at Poole Pond, and Poole Pond is a place with many visitors from Willimantic.
All our national parks are great locations to visit, and Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is no exception, and there are some brilliant whitewater spots on Quinebaug River. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Peppertree Camping is a tremendous spot to do that; if you come at the right time of year, Natchaug River offers some fine whitewater.
