This lake is so wonderful. Acorn Acres Campground is a pleasant campground nearby; from Plants Pond you get a wonderful panorama of Cockle Hill. You simply should love Plants Pond. Acorn Campground is a wonderful local campground. Lakes are nice; Harvey Pond is a lake that's next to Plants Pond. Salmon River is       a nice whitewater spot in close proximity to Plants Pond, and swamps like Whittlesey Swamp are fun to stop by. Don't leave Plants Pond without first checking out Rattlesnake Ledges, and playing golf is lots of fun at Fox Hopyard Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody loves Devils Hopyard State Park; do take a look at Zemko Pond Dam since you're here. At Plants Pond all through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's. Throughout the dark                  hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Plants Pond descend into the 10's. Dry warm beds await you at Sleep Inn & Suites, and in case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Natchaug River. You think that's sufficient?
