Do visit Pickerel Lake Dam since you're here at Pickerel Lake; get drenched paddling on Roaring Brook River. After a long day outdoors Executive Inn and Suites Old Saybrook is a delightful location to spend a night or two; why not explore a swamp like Babcock Swamp since you're here at Pickerel Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Chanticlair Public Golf Course is a good golf course nearby, and Gillette Castle State Park is a stunning place any time of year. Pickerel

| | Lake mostly gets a great deal of rainfall; May is the month that gets the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Stay the night at Markham Meadows Campgrounds. Devil's Hopyard State Park is a brilliant campground nearby, and a pretty lake like Moodus Reservoir is a good spot to explore. Throughout the warmest time of the year, highs mostly are in the 80's at Pickerel Lake. During the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime | |

the highs are frequently in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Pickerel Lake. Gotta ski! Powder Ridge is a good spot to do that, and don't forget to take a tremendous little journey to Pickerel Lake Brook. You just can't
envision the amount of outdoors fun things the area close to Pickerel Lake has to offer. Comfort Inn Old Saybrook is a pleasant site to get some rest, and you'll find a stunning lake called Number Two Pond. This lake is so wonderful.
Here at Pickerel Lake you'll probably meet some people from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford, and whitewater paddling is good on Salmon River.

Odetah Campground
 | 18 miles away I am staying at odatah camp ground as I write this thay have wi-fi which is great. This is our first time here and we love it. we will be comming back many more times. We are staying in a nice cabin, but thay have very good camp sites as well. are cabin has a fridge,doubble bed,three twin beds but the (twins are a little narrow). This morning we played horseshoes Yhe seasonal campers were very under standing of are unfamiliarity with the game and had a wonderful time.we then went swimming in the lake. that was great. we then went in the pool and the hottub. hottub was nice and big. we then played shuffleboard and went to a barbeque(exellent ribs)and listen to a very good band. All in one day. can't wait for tomorrow.... |
