After a long day outdoors Executive Inn and Suites Old Saybrook is a delightful location to spend a night or two; why not explore a swamp like Babcock Swamp since you're here at Pickerel Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Chanticlair Public Golf Course is a good golf course nearby, and Gillette Castle State Park is a stunning place any time of year. Pickerel       Lake mostly gets a great deal of rainfall; May is the month that gets the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Stay the night at Markham Meadows Campgrounds. Devil's Hopyard State Park is a brilliant campground nearby, and a pretty lake like Moodus Reservoir is a good spot to explore. Throughout the warmest time of the year, highs mostly are in the 80's at Pickerel Lake. During the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime                  the highs are frequently in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Pickerel Lake. Gotta ski! Powder Ridge is a good spot to do that, and don't forget to take a tremendous little journey to Pickerel Lake Brook. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun things the area close to Pickerel Lake has to offer. Comfort Inn Old Saybrook is a pleasant site to get some rest, and you'll find a stunning lake called Number Two Pond. This lake is so wonderful.
