     Pork Hill is uncomplicated to spot from Phoenixville Park Ponds; why not a little side visit to Bigelow Brook. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can check out Poole Pond Dam, and why not camp at Charlie Brown Campground while you're here at Phoenixville Park Ponds. This lake is so wonderful. A good close by hotel is The Inn at Woodstock Hill, and when you're here it's always fun to check out Bigelow Hollow State Park. Phoenixville Park Ponds sees  
   pretty high levels of rainfall; during November this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is February.

Highs throughout the winter are regularly in the 30's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Phoenixville Park Ponds temperatures descend to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Tatem Company Ponds, and Travelodge Sturbridge is a pleasant place to get some rest.
Quinebaug River is a pleasant whitewater spot near Phoenixville Park Ponds, and a fine spot to camp here at Phoenixville Park Ponds is Peppertree Camping. A good place for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Phoenixville Park Ponds is Natchaug River, and this is a popular location for people from Willimantic.
