Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Quaboag River; a glorious swamp close to Pelican Pond is Cedar Swamp. All through the long summer days at Pelican Pond highs are typically in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 30's with temperatures at Pelican Pond dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.

| | Parizek Pond is a nearby lake that you could check out, and Nathan Hale Inn And Conference Center is a splendid place to get some rest. If you need a place to stay Rodeway Inn Willington is a brilliant choice. There's so much to do here at Pelican Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Wilderness Lake is a good site for that. course called Skungamaug River Golf Club. Pelican Pond is a pretty wet place regularly with lots of precipitation; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so
wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Natchaug River offers some great whitewater; the sight of picturesque Brackett Hill is glorious. This site is unbeatable, just check out all the cool things to do near Pelican Pond.
Mansfield Hollow State Park is a great spot to stretch your legs a bit, and why not stop at nearby Eldredge Brook while you're here at Pelican Pond. While you're here at Pelican Pond, you could also check out pretty Deversky Pond.
