This lake is so wonderful. Near Peck Pond you hit upon the Appalachian National Scenic Trail which is a great hiking trail; Peck Pond Dam is a picturesque location, positively worth a visit. Pine Swamp is a swamp near Peck Pond, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Thunder Ridge if you're       here. Very delightful scenery and great skiing is what you get at Mohawk Mountain, and going for a hike on the Indian Trail is always a delightful adventure. Peck Pond gets a common amount of rain; during June this area sees the most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Ten Mile River close to Peck Pond, and there are great spots to explore along the Elbow Trail.                  Playing golf is lots of fun at Silo Ridge Country Club, and if you get bored of Peck Pond you could also go to close by Case Pond. After a long day outdoors The Cottages At Kent Road is a fine place to spend a night or two; the summit of Deming Hill can be seen from Peck Pond. All through the summer highs here at Peck Pond get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Peck Pond drop into the 10's. That right there is plenty already, but it goes on; Peck Pond has it all. A tremendous site to camp here at Peck Pond is Housatonic Meadows State Park, and at Peck Pond you always meet someone from Torrington. Why not camp at Taconic State Park Rudd Pond since you're here at Peck Pond; a lake close by is Oak Ledge Pond. And that's not all you can do here at Peck Pond.
