    Why not stop by Patterson Pond if you're passing through these parts. Patterson Pond is a relatively wet place commonly with a lot of rainfall; through the month of June you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. What a place this is for outdoors folks. Head up to Ski Sundown and strap some skis to your feet, and a good close by hotel is Tollgate Hill Inn. People from Torrington love to come to Patterson  
   Pond; tremendous hiking is available along the Mattatuck Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. At Patterson Pond you can observe Besse Hill; a day on the slopes of Mohawk Mountain is just what you need. John A. Minetto State Park is a wonderful site to stop at on a delightful day, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Patterson Pond; Tunxis Trail is a good local trail.

               explore stunning Litchfield Town Beach since you're here at Patterson Pond, and a round of golf at nearby Fairview Farm Golf Course is a wonderful way to kill some time. Burr Pond State Park is a good campground nearby, and you can go for a hike on the Mattatuck Trail. There's whitewater on Sandy Brook River for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and some nearby water includes Lovers Lane Brook.
The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Patterson Pond with nighttime lows in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Patterson Pond dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. There are some perfect whitewater spots on Bantam River; Patterson Pond is a splendid site to visit for more than one day, Macedonia Brook State Park is a splendid site to camp nearby. A stunning lake like Miscus Pond in the neighborhood of Patterson Pond is a good site to pop by, and after a long day outdoors Days Inn - Torrington is a glorious place to spend a night or two.
