Do have a look at Crystal Lake near Parkins Ponds, it's a stunning lake; get yourself into a kayak and hit Shepaug River. Glide down the rapids of Bantam River in a kayak, and while you're here, you could also check out pretty Lake Quassapaug. There is a splendid hiking trail close to Parkins Ponds called the Mattatuck Trail. If you need a spot to stay Crowne Plaza       Hotel SOUTHBURY is a glorious choice, and Alder Swamp is an out of the ordinary swamp in close proximity to Parkins Ponds. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things at Parkins Ponds. While you're here at Parkins Ponds you will meet lots of folks from close by Torrington; going for a hike on the Naugatuck Trail is always a glorious adventure. If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Parkins Ponds. Pomperaug Golf Club is a delightful golf course close by; Woodbury has great slopes and a friendly staff. Camping is available at Cozy Hills Campground, and here at Parkins Ponds you can make out Brushy Hill.
