Get your pulse rate up on the pleasant whitewater of Shepaug River, and if you came for an overnight stay Cozy Hills Campground is a pleasant location to camp. This lake is so wonderful. A golf course close to Parkins Ponds is Pomperaug Golf Club, and pleasant       skiing awaits you at Woodbury. While you're here at Parkins Ponds you can take a hike along the Mattatuck Trail, and obviously Carmel Hill Brook flows through this region.
