Stay the night at Highland Camp Ground; Susquehanna Plains is a brilliant place. Parker Pond typically gets a great deal of rainfall; November is the month that gets the most rain while February is frequently the driest month. Be careful coming to Parker Pond, you might not ever want to go home again. There's       so much to do here at Parker Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Salt Rock Family Camping is a nice location for that; Mansfield Hollow State Park is a good location to visit on a gorgeous day. Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is one of the destinations near Parker Pond that are good to go to, and if you need a spot to stay Comfort Suites Norwich is a fine choice. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a nice little                  visit to Ballymahack Brook; get yourself into a kayak and hit Quinebaug River. After a long day outdoors Best Western Regent Inn is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two. Lakes? Sure, Indian Hollow Pond is close at hand. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Beaver Brook Pond, and get covered with water paddling on Natchaug River. If you want a nice time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Parker Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful sight of lovely Mullin Hill is available from Parker Pond, and at Parker Pond you always meet someone from Norwich-New London. Through the days of summer at Parker Pond temperatures are commonly in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's.
