     Boston Hollow is a pleasant place to stop at near Paine Pond; if you need a site to stay Rodeway Inn Willington is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. Boston Hollow Road Brook is a great spot to explore, and dry warm beds await you at Travelodge Sturbridge. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Paine Pond. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. Highs during the winter are typically in the 30's, and all through  
   the dark hours in the wintertime at Paine Pond temperatures dip to the 10's.
Now, you may feel that's heaps but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Paine Pond. You'll meet a lot of people from Willimantic here, and Brialee Campground is a great local campground. One of the major highlights of the surroundings of Paine Pond is Buell Hill, unsurprisingly you could also visit Morse Reservoir if you're here; it's not far at all. A great place for whitewater
 
               paddling right next door to Paine Pond is Quaboag River; a lake close by is Ashford Lake.
Get your pulse rate up on the fine whitewater of Natchaug River, and the sights at Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor will blow your mind. This lake is so wonderful. Bigelow Hollow State Park is worth taking a look at if you're at Paine Pond; Paine Pond is a pleasant place to visit for more than one day, Peppertree Camping is a pleasant place to camp nearby. Paine Pond is a pretty wet place regularly with a great deal of rainfall; during November this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February.
