Connecticut has many beautiful lakes and Paderewski Pond is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. Scott Swamp Brook is a magnificent local stream. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Paderewski Pond. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Paderewski Pond dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is nice here at Paderewski Pond, you can go

| | for a hike along the Metacomet Trail, and golf can be played at Hawk's Landing Country Club. All the water falling down from the sky makes Paderewski Pond a wet place; August is when you get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Bradley Mountain can be observed from Paderewski Pond, and Farmington River has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot nearby. Talcott Mountain State Park is both great and scenic, | |

and it's close to Paderewski Pond, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Tunxis Trail. Fairfield Inn & Suites Plainville is a nice location to get some rest, and Camp Eagle Feather is a perfect local campground. If you
don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Farmington River - Collinsville, and a lake nearby is Hamlin Pond. Man, is there loads of entertaining stuff to do right next door to Paderewski Pond. Dry
warm beds await you at Centennial Inn Suites, and there's always Plainville Reservoir Dam to take a look at near Paderewski Pond. Gentile's Camp Ground is a wonderful campground nearby, and why not head up to Powder Ridge and
strap some skis to your feet. Hamlin Pond is a nearby lake that you could check out, and since you're here, you might as well explore Cooks Gap. Mount Southington is a very popular ski area nearby, and lots of people from Hartford-West
Hartford-East Hartford come here. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. There are swamps here too; Shade Swamp is in the neighborhood; the Mattabesset Trail is a tremendous hiking trail nearby.
