Packers Pond is a wet location that gets a lot of rain; most of the rain falls throughout November, and February on the other hand is the driest. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Packers Pond, so little time. Don't leave Packers Pond without first going for a hike along the Border Trail. Lakes? Sure, Evans Pond is close by. This lake is so wonderful.       Dry warm beds await you at Americinn - Griswold, Ct, and of course, all our national parks are wonderful spots to go to and Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is no exception. Throughout the summertime months, highs generally are in the 80's at Packers Pond, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's while Packers Pond overnight low temperatures during the winter                  are in the 10's. Some nearby water includes Cone Brook; Packers Pond is a tremendous spot to visit for more than one day, Ross Hill Park is a tremendous spot to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. On a great day you can have a look at Cedar Swamp, a swamp next to Packers Pond, and Campers World Campground is a magnificent local campground. Paddling on Quinebaug River is so much fun; a golf course nearby is River Ridge Golf Course. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites PLAINFIELD is a magnificent location to get some rest; since you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Willimantic.
