State Park, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Roaring Brook River. At Olds and Whipple Pond during the days of summer highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend
down into the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Olds and Whipple Pond temperatures plunge to the 0's. A large amount of rain falls at Olds and Whipple Pond; the
wettest month of the year is ordinarily May, that's the one that rains the most while January is frequently the driest month.
