Many people like to go to Old Scroggie Pond. All through the summertime months highs here at Old Scroggie Pond get into the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Old Scroggie Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Swamps like Cedar Island Meadow are fun to go to, and spots like Podunk Great Plain are great to take a look at. Old Scroggie

| | Pond is a wet place that gets a great deal of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is April, and the driest of the months is February.
This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Tower Inn and Suites. If you came for an overnight stay Hammonasset Beach State Park is a brilliant place to camp; the vista of scenic Clapboard Hill is tremendous. At Old Scroggie Pond you always meet someone from New Haven-Milford; if you're looking for a beach nearby we recommend East Rive Beach. Man, is there lots of exciting
things to do near Old Scroggie Pond. Drift down the rapids of Roaring Brook River in a kayak, and Valley Shores Pond North is a tremendous lake close by. If only every site had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great planet it
would be. The West Woods Trail is a good hiking trail near Old Scroggie Pond; if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Guilford is a good choice.
Nothing beats kicking back at Circle Beach; Chatfield Hollow State Park is a great
spot. Get dripping wet paddling on Hammonasset River. Lakes? Sure, Guilford Lake is close by. This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at Guilford Lakes Golf Course, and some nearby water includes Bailey Creek.
There
is a tremendous hiking trail close to Old Scroggie Pond called the Mattabesset Trail, and Riverdale Camp Sites is a pleasant campground nearby.
