High temperatures at Old Scroggie Pond through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's while nighttime lows are generally in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Old Scroggie Pond drop into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. This is a popular site for people from New Haven-Milford. A lovely lake like Goulds       Pond in the vicinity of Old Scroggie Pond is a brilliant location to stop by, and going for a hike along the West Woods Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. All the outdoors fun things close to Old Scroggie Pond will keep you coming back again and again. Glide down the rapids of Hammonasset River in a kayak, and Hammonasset Beach State Park is a tremendous campground nearby. Getting to Bailey Creek from Old Scroggie Pond is easy; if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Washington Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A swamp like Cedar Island Meadow in close proximity to Old Scroggie Pond has lots of attention-grabbing things to see, and you can stay the night at Riverdale Camp Sites. Do set aside some time for Podunk Great Plain if you're here at Old Scroggie Pond, and a day at Circle Beach is time well spent. This lake is so wonderful.
