The skiing at Ski Butternut is wonderful; not far from Old Man McMullen Pond you'll find Crissey Pond which is a delightful lake. So many exciting things to do at Old Man McMullen Pond, so little time. A tremendous place for whitewater paddling near Old Man McMullen Pond is Housatonic River, and Housatonic Meadows State Park is a tremendous local campground. There are other spots here than Old Man McMullen Pond, for example Seldom Seen Pond, and Blackberry River

a good place to spend a night or two; there's always Wangum Lake Dam to have a look at in the vicinity of Old Man McMullen Pond. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Old Man McMullen Pond you can take a hike along the Indian
Trail, and why not camp at Lone Oak Camp Sites if you're here at Old Man McMullen Pond. During the warm days of summer highs here at Old Man McMullen Pond get into the 80's while overnight lows are usually in the 50's. The winter
comes with highs in the 30's; after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Old Man McMullen Pond drop into the 0's. North Branch Brown Brook flows through this area; a day on the slopes of Mohawk Mountain is just what you need.
