So many exciting things to do at Old Man McMullen Pond, so little time. A tremendous place for whitewater paddling near Old Man McMullen Pond is Housatonic River, and Housatonic Meadows State Park is a tremendous local campground. There are other spots here than Old Man McMullen Pond, for example Seldom Seen Pond, and Blackberry River       Inn is a good place to get some rest. The high level of rain makes Old Man McMullen Pond a reasonably wet location; most of the rain falls through August, and February is the month with the least moisture. This place rules, just explore all the cool stuff to do in the vicinity of Old Man McMullen Pond. Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Elbow Trail; Quarry View Golf Course is a great golf course close by. Take a hike on the Wild Cat Trail; the fine                  people of Torrington like to hang out close by. This lake is so wonderful. Swamps like Bear Swamp are fun to stop at, and going to Dennis Hill State Park is a splendid thing to do. After a long day outdoors Tollgate Hill Inn is a good place to spend a night or two; there's always Wangum Lake Dam to have a look at in the vicinity of Old Man McMullen Pond. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Old Man McMullen Pond you can take a hike along the Indian Trail, and why not camp at Lone Oak Camp Sites if you're here at Old Man McMullen Pond. During the warm days of summer highs here at Old Man McMullen Pond get into the 80's while overnight lows are usually in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's; after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Old Man McMullen Pond drop into the 0's.
