Drift down the rapids of Roaring Brook River in a kayak, and the peak of Chalker Hill can be observed from North Westchester Pond. Man, is there heaps of enjoyable things to do next to North Westchester Pond. Paddling on Salmon River is so much fun. Lakes? Sure, Babcock Pond is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Blackledge River is a stream that you may encounter while you're here, and Powder Ridge is a fine local ski area. This lake is so wonderful. Near North Westchester Pond you discover a golf course called Chanticlair Public Golf Course, and if you're popping by from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford, you won't be the only one.

and Devils Hopyard State Park is a brilliant spot to visit on a delightful day. All through the summer months, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at North Westchester Pond. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 60's. The cold days of
the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at North Westchester Pond.

I am staying at odatah camp ground as I write this thay have wi-fi which is great. This is our first time here and we love it. we will be comming back many more times. We are staying in a nice cabin, but thay have very good camp sites as well. are cabin has a fridge,doubble bed,three twin beds but the (twins are a little narrow). This morning we played horseshoes Yhe seasonal campers were very under standing of are unfamiliarity with the game and had a wonderful time.we then went swimming in the lake. that was great. we then went in the pool and the hottub. hottub was nice and big. we then played shuffleboard and went to a barbeque(exellent ribs)and listen to a very good band. All in one day. can't wait for tomorrow.... |
