If you like lakes and you're in this part of Connecticut you can check out North Westchester Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A great panorama of pretty Chalker Hill is available from North Westchester Pond. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do in the neighborhood of North Westchester Pond. You'll meet a lot of people from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford here, and Roaring Brook River is a delightful whitewater spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful.

Summertime highs at North Westchester Pond usually tend to be in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; night lows at North Westchester Pond all through the winter generally plunge into the 10's. | |

Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Old Saybrook. There's so much to do here at North Westchester Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Devil's Hopyard State Park is a nice place for that. You could also stop by Bashan Lake
if you're here at North Westchester Pond; it's nearby, and playing golf is lots of fun at Chanticlair Public Golf Course.
Why not stop at close by Blackledge River since you're here at North Westchester Pond, and you can run the
rapids of Salmon River. The high level of precipitation makes North Westchester Pond a quite wet location; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is July. A lake close by is Cone Pond, and dropping by Devils Hopyard State Park is a pleasant thing to do.
