Hiking along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail is delightful fun, and if you need a site to stay Wellesley Inn Armonk is a pleasant choice. The panorama of gorgeous Cooney Hill near North Lake is great; as expected Bear Gutter Creek is a picturesque stream that is worth a visit. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at North Lake, you could also have a look at pretty Rye Lake, and you can stay the night at Soundview       Sports. If you want a magnificent time in the great outdoors, just come on down to North Lake. North Lake is close to Rockefeller State Park which is a beautiful site, and enjoy a round of golf at Golf Club of Purchase. All through the warm days of summer, highs regularly are in the 80's at North Lake. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. During the wintertime highs are regularly in the 30's, and night lows during the winter for North Lake tend to                  be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at North Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Echo Lake is a brilliant place for that, and Doral Arrowwood Conference Resort is a great location to get some rest. Kensico Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by; if you're dropping by from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown, you won't be the only one. The scenery at American Can Company Dam in the vicinity of North Lake is beautiful, and a visit to Big Peninsula is always a splendid idea.
