The slopes of Thunder Ridge are so inviting noone can resist, and if you get bored of Noroneke Lake you could also explore close by Candees Pond. Get yourself into a kayak and hit East Aspetuck River; if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Branchville Brook. This lake is so wonderful. Johns Pond is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and swamps like Spectacle Swamp in the neighborhood of Noroneke Lake make for good spots to stop at. Spectacle Swamp Dam is
striking and it's right next door to Noroneke Lake, and if you're popping by from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown, you won't be the only one.
Seth Low Pierrepont State Park Reserve is a great place to stretch your legs a bit, and a glorious nearby hotel is Hilton Garden Inn Norwalk. This is no location for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Noroneke Lake with night lows in the 60's. For the duration of the winter

the highs are commonly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Noroneke Lake are in the 10's.
That right there is lots already, but it keeps on going; Noroneke Lake has it all. A great view of beautiful Biddle Hill is available from Noroneke Lake. There's so much to do here at Noroneke Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Kettletown State Park is a great place for that. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Noroneke Lake has to offer, you can camp at Mountain Workshop, and if you need a place to stay Days Inn Ridgefield is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. Glide down the rapids of Norwalk River in a kayak; a round of golf at nearby Ridgefield Golf Course is a good way to kill some time.
Noroneke Lake frequently gets a large amount of rainfall; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is January.
