    Many people like to go to Nightingale Pond. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! Nightingale Pond rules! Lakes? Sure, Abbott Pond is close by. You can run the rapids of Natchaug River close to Nightingale Pond, and Mashamoquet Brook State Park is a great campground here. On a pleasant day at Nightingale Pond you can take a hike along the Border Trail; do stop at Abington Brook if you're here at Nightingale Pond.
Summer brings highs in the 80's to Nightingale
 
   Pond, and the nighttime is rather chillier of course, generally in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Nightingale Pond are in the 10's. Nightingale Pond is a delightful site to camp, Wolf Den Campground is a delightful site; sites like Mashamoquet Brook State Park are tremendous to check out. Nightingale Pond is not far at all from Willimantic, and close by you find the Walkabout Trail which is a wonderful  
               hiking trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Allen Hill is simple to spot from Nightingale Pond, also Nightingale Pond Dam is worth taking a look at while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. There is a great hiking trail in close proximity to Nightingale Pond called the Munyan Trail, and Quinebaug River is a glorious whitewater spot close by. Nightingale Pond mostly gets a good deal of rain; November is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is February.
And if you're still looking for more outdoors exciting stuff just keep reading. Dry warm beds await you at The Inn at Woodstock Hill; going to Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. If you're a golfer then a good nearby course is Harrisville Golf Course, and Inn At Woodstock Hill is a great place to get some rest.
