Nichols Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. A lake close by is Old South Norwalk Reservoir, and obviously Parting Brook flows through this region. Mountain Workshop is a fine local campground; people from Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk love to come here. If you get bored of Nichols Pond, you could also check out close by Holy Ghost Fathers Pond, and the skiing at Thunder Ridge is nice.

| | spot to visit for more than one day, Sail Caribbean is a great spot to camp nearby, and playing golf is lots of fun at Oak Hills Golf Course. Roger Sherman Inn (Le) is a great place to get some rest; there are some delightful whitewater spots on Norwalk River. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Doubletree Hotel Norwalk; Canoe Hill is striking and can be seen from here.

is Harbor View Beach, and a spree here wouldn’t be complete without a tour to nearby Seth Low Pierrepont State Park Reserve. Rowayton Community Beach is a beach right next door to Nichols Pond that you can take a look at, and Millard
Pond Dam is lovely. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff near Nichols Pond. Don't miss out on a great swamp; Carter Swamp is right here at Nichols Pond.
High temperatures at Nichols Pond during the warmest time
of the year are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Nichols Pond. Nichols Pond gets a good deal of water; the month with most of the rain is August; the driest month is February.
