Waramaug State Park are brilliant to visit. You're perhaps interested in lakes, Ferris Pond is one of those close by, and a forest nearby is Chestnut Lands. You can never get enough of the splendid skiing at Woodbury, and since you're here you can play some golf at Candlewood Valley Country Club.
