Little City Campground is a wonderful campground nearby, and a day on the slopes of Mount Southington is just what you need. A swamp like Hog Swamp in the vicinity of New Dam Pond has lots of exciting things to see, and if you come at the right time of year, Farmington River - Collinsville offers some splendid whitewater. February. During the warm days of summer at New Dam Pond temperatures are regularly in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and overnight lows
in the 10's for New Dam Pond. There are some great whitewater spots on Roaring Brook River, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Tunxis Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Time spent at Dossin Park Beach close to
New Dam Pond is always pleasant; probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Elmere Reservoir is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. During your trip to New Dam Pond you'll meet some people from New Haven-Milford
for sure, and hey, Cathole Brook is a good local stream. On a fine day at New Dam Pond you can take a hike along the Mattabesset Trail, and why not head up to Powder Ridge and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is so wonderful.
This is a delightful neighborhood for people who like lakes. Merimere Reservoir is a lake in close proximity, and Comfort Inn & Suites is a great location to get some rest. On a pretty day you obtain a panorama of Cathole Mountain
from New Dam Pond; Wharton Brook State Park is a glorious spot. The Washington Trail is a tremendous hiking trail near New Dam Pond; Elmere Reservoir Dam is an exciting thing to check out.
