New Dam Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. There's good hiking along the Tunxis Trail, and the slopes of Mount Southington are so inviting noone can resist. Summer at New Dam Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Highs all through the winter are frequently in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for New Dam Pond. After a long day outdoors Quality Inn & Suites is a great place to spend a night

| | or two, and if you came for an overnight stay Little City Campground is a good location to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Mattabesset Trail, and there are plenty of folks from New Haven-Milford here. Cathole Mountain is picturesque and can be observed from New Dam Pond, and hey, Cathole Brook is a nice local stream. magnificent location to get some rest, and tremendous hiking is available along the Washington Trail. Man, is there a load of fun stuff to do in the neighborhood of New Dam Pond. New Dam Pond is in close proximity to Elmere Reservoir
Dam which is a lovely place positively worth checking out, and the Hanging Hills is one of the things that make New Dam Pond so pleasant. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Powder Ridge, and go to nearby Hog
Swamp. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Camp Eagle Feather, and Merimere Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could go to. New Dam Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; most of the rain falls all through May;
February meanwhile is the driest month. While you're here at New Dam Pond, you could also explore striking Elmere Reservoir, and enjoy a round of golf at Hunter Memorial Golf Course. Farmington River - Collinsville is a perfect
whitewater spot near New Dam Pond, and Dossin Park Beach is rather close by if you're in a beach type of mood. A tour to Wharton Brook State Park when you're here at New Dam Pond is never a bad idea, and in the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Roaring Brook River.
