     If you need a location to stay Econo Lodge Sturbridge is a good choice, and if you've had enough of New City Pond, Upper Pond is close by. Be careful coming to New City Pond, you might not ever want to return back home again. Some of the water close by flows, like Cedar Swamp Brook, and why not camp at Mineral Springs Family Campground since you're here at New City Pond. New City Pond is not the only site close by, Stafford Springs Reservoir Number 2 is a close  
   by lake, and a great spot to camp here at New City Pond is Roaring Brook Campground. Why not explore New City Pond Dam if you're here; dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Willington.
A large amount of precipitation falls at New City Pond; May is the month that gets the most rain while February is commonly the driest month. Through the months of summer at New City Pond highs are ordinarily in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. High
 
               temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at New City Pond dip into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
Float down the rapids of Natchaug River in a kayak, and from New City Pond you obtain a glorious panorama of Colburn Hill. This lake is so wonderful. Get drenched paddling on Quaboag River, and places like Bigelow Hollow State Park are tremendous to pop by.
