    It's always fun to stop by Nepaug Reservoir. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Nepaug Reservoir. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are generally in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Nepaug Reservoir are in the 10's. This spot is excellent, just explore all the fun things to do in the vicinity of Nepaug Reservoir. Cherry Brook flows through this neighborhood; don't leave Nepaug Reservoir without first going  
   for a hike along the Metacomet Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A trip to Stratton Brook State Park revitalizes the soul, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Nepaug Reservoir; Mattatuck Trail is a wonderful local trail.
If you're stopping by Nepaug Reservoir from Torrington, you won't be the only one, and after a long day outdoors Avon Old Farms is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two. Nepaug Reservoir is not the only spot close by, Nepaug
 
               Reservoir is a close by lake; if you're a golfer then a tremendous close by course is Simsbury Farms Golf Course. Why not explore Zwick Point also since you're here. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Nepaug Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at American Legion State Forest.
This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Nepaug Reservoir you acquire some brilliant water scenery at Nepaug Dam, and Farmington River - Riverton is a glorious whitewater spot nearby. You could also check out Collinsville Reservoir since you're here at Nepaug Reservoir; it's nearby; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mount Southington if you're here. So much amusing stuff to do at Nepaug Reservoir, so little time. What would winter be without some skiing at Ski Sundown, and tremendous hiking is available along the Tunxis Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Nepaug State Forest is a wonderful local forest. The peak of Rattlesnake Hill can be seen from Nepaug Reservoir, and you can run the rapids of Farmington River - Collinsville. Nepaug Reservoir sees pretty high levels of precipitation; during the month of August you get the most rain around here; January is the month with the least moisture.
There's so much to do here at Nepaug Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Austin Hawes Campground is a brilliant spot for that, and Residence Inn By Marriott Hartford Avon is a tremendous location to get some rest.
