Do stop by Mystic Reservoir while you're in this part of Connecticut. A day at Dossin Park Beach in close proximity to Mystic Reservoir is time well spent, and there are other places here than Mystic Reservoir, for example West Brook Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Farmington River - Collinsville, and there's brilliant hiking along the Naugatuck Trail.

| | Brooks Pond is a delightful lake next to Mystic Reservoir, and Mystic Reservoir is a place with many visitors from New Haven-Milford. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Very lovely scenery and great skiing is what you get at Mount Southington; National Computer Camps is a good campground nearby. A wonderful place like Sleeping Giant State Park close to Mystic Reservoir is too splendid to leave out; after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn WATERBURY is a great spot to
spend a night or two. A great deal of rainfall falls at Mystic Reservoir; most of the rain falls all through August, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Gentile's Camp Ground is a tremendous local campground;
great hiking is available along the Regicides Trail.
Through the summer months, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Mystic Reservoir, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs
in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Mystic Reservoir. Not far from Mystic Reservoir you acquire some great water scenery at Mystic Reservoir South Dam, and there are swamps here too, Brittany Meadows is in
the vicinity. A magnificent close by hotel is Red Carpet Inn and Suites - Cheshire, and you can distinguish Bluff Head from Mystic Reservoir.
Highland Golf Course is a delightful golf course close by, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Brooksvale Stream.
