Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by close by Cheshire Reservoir, and the slopes of Powder Ridge are so inviting nobody can resist. Gentile's Camp Ground is a great campground nearby; a round of golf at nearby Highland Golf Course is a great way to kill some time. When you're here at Mystic Reservoir       it's always fun to go to Sleeping Giant State Park; you can go for a hike on the Naugatuck Trail. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Mystic Reservoir. Dossin Park Beach is near Mystic Reservoir if you're in a beach type of mood, and if you need a place to stay Red Carpet Inn and Suites - Cheshire is a good choice. A tremendous place for whitewater paddling next to Mystic Reservoir is Farmington River - Collinsville, and                  not far from Mystic Reservoir you'll come across West Brook Reservoir which is a picturesque lake. For the period of the summertime months at Mystic Reservoir highs are regularly in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and overnight lows during the winter for Mystic Reservoir tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
