Places like Seth Low Pierrepont State Park Reserve are great to take a look at; camping is available at Kettletown State Park.
After a

long day outdoors Roger Sherman Inn (Le) is a nice location to spend a night or two, and the nice people of Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk like to hang out nearby. The snow is great at Thunder Ridge, and a quick journey to Barretts Brook is definitely a tremendous idea. Streets Pond is a great lake in the neighborhood of Mullens Pond, and you obtain a fine view of Bald Hill from here.
Lots of precipitation falls at Mullens Pond; through the month of August you

get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is February. Popes Pond Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out, and a delightful close by hotel is Ridgefield CT Days Inn. Throughout the summer months at Mullens Pond highs are typically in the 80's.
