     Mullens Pond is a nice lake to visit. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Spectacle Swamp is right close by, and dry warm beds await you at Roger Sherman Inn (Le). If you're visiting Mullens Pond from Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk, you won't be the only one, and if you come at the right time of year, Norwalk River offers some great whitewater.
Through the summertime highs here at Mullens Pond get into the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures
 
   descend down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Mullens Pond. Mullens Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; most of the rain falls during August, and February is the month with the least moisture. Popes Pond Dam is an interesting thing to check out, and if you're here, you could also explore gorgeous Hendersons Pond.
There's just no way someone can get bored here at Mullens Pond. A
 
               journey to Seth Low Pierrepont State Park Reserve when you're here at Mullens Pond is never a bad idea, and Bald Hill is clearly visible from Mullens Pond. There are some nice whitewater spots on East Aspetuck River, and some nearby water includes Barretts Brook. This lake is so wonderful. Kettletown State Park is a magnificent campground here, and after a long day outdoors Ridgefield CT Days Inn is a good spot to spend a night or two.
This lake is so wonderful. Mullens Pond is a glorious location to camp, Clarence Fahnestock State Park is a glorious location; Thunder Ridge is a fine local ski area.
