    Go to Mullens Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. Mullens Pond is a relatively wet place commonly with a good deal of rain; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Mullens Pond you'll in all probability meet some folks from Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk; Bald Hill is clearly visible from Mullens Pond. East Aspetuck River has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot close by.
 
   If you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Norwalk River; the snow is brilliant at Thunder Ridge. This place is so good, just look at all the fun stuff to do near Mullens Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Roger Sherman Inn (Le), and Seth Low Pierrepont State Park Reserve is both magnificent and wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Mullens Pond is a magnificent site to visit for more than one day, Kettletown State Park  
               is a magnificent site to camp nearby, and swamps don’t sound that nice but Spectacle Swamp close to Mullens Pond is pretty nice.
Not far from Mullens Pond, you'll find Popes Pond which is a beautiful lake; don't forget to take a wonderful little journey to Barretts Brook. The warmest time of the year at Mullens Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while Mullens Pond night low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. Popes Pond Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out; Ridgefield CT Days Inn is a great location to get some rest.
Mountain Workshop is a great campground nearby, and there are other spots here than Mullens Pond, for example Streets Pond.
