Take a hike on the Tunxis Trail, and there are plenty of folks from Torrington here at Morton Pond. Black Rock is a peak you can distinguish from Morton Pond; don't leave without dropping by Black Rock State Park. This lake is so wonderful. Hampton Inn Waterbury is a glorious site to get some rest, and there are some great whitewater spots on Bantam River. Summertime at Morton Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down

| | to the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Morton Pond temperatures drop to the 10's. Now, you may think that's a load but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Morton Pond. You'll hit upon a beautiful lake called Black Rock Lake near Morton Pond, and do take some time to explore Mattatuck State Forest since you're here. for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and Northfield Brook Dam is a stunning location, unquestionably worth going to. Morton Pond is a wet site that gets lots of precipitation; June is when you get the most rain here, and February
is when it's the driest. Morton Pond is a great place to visit for more than one day, Branchbrook Campground is a great place to camp nearby, and lovely scenery and pleasant skiing is what you obtain at Woodbury. Fairview Farm
Golf Course is a golf course near Morton Pond; a wonderful lake like Northfield Brook Lake is a good location to stop at. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a brilliant time here at Morton Pond. After a long day outdoors Yankee Pedlar
Inn is a delightful site to spend a night or two, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Mattatuck Trail. This lake is so wonderful. It's a good idea to visit Humaston Brook, it's in close proximity to Morton Pond, and skiing
at Ski Sundown is one of those things you just have to do. Black Rock State Park is a glorious local campground.
