You could also stop at Pitch Reservoir since you're here at Morris Reservoir; it's close by, and nothing beats kicking back at Morris Town Beach. Any time is a pleasant time at Morris Reservoir if you love the outdoors. If you need a place to stay Yankee Pedlar Inn is a great choice, and you can hit the beach if you want, Litchfield Town Beach is practically right here. Take a side tour to East Morris Brook; Morris Reservoir Dam is not far at all from Morris

Morris Reservoir is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Branchbrook Campground is a fine place to camp nearby, and don't leave Morris Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Mattatuck Trail. plenty of people from Torrington here. This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Ski Sundown, and you can run the rapids of Shepaug River. There's brilliant hiking along the Mattatuck Trail, and from
Morris Reservoir you obtain a good vista of French Mountain. High temperatures at Morris Reservoir through the warm days of summer are in the 70's; the overnight is fairly chillier of course, usually in the 50's. During the winter
highs are in the 20's while Morris Reservoir nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. Stay the night at Black Rock State Park; for you golfers we recommend close by Fairview Farm Golf Course. Hiking is
a popular thing to do around Morris Reservoir; Naugatuck Trail is a great local trail, and places like Black Rock State Park are splendid to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Morosani Pond Number 1, and there's
whitewater on Bantam River for all you adrenaline people. This place is unbeatable, just check out all the exciting stuff to do in the vicinity of Morris Reservoir. Gotta ski! Woodbury is a tremendous spot to do that, and why not stop by a swamp like Pecks Swamp since you're here at Morris Reservoir.
