This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Roaring Brook River; Wolf's Den Family Campground is a perfect local campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Moodus Reservoir, you could have a       look at Pickerel Lake Brook, and perfect skiing awaits you at Powder Ridge. The high level of precipitation makes Moodus Reservoir a reasonably wet site; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is July. Lakes are splendid; Bashan Lake is a lake that's close to Moodus Reservoir; Salmon River is a magnificent whitewater spot nearby. Comfort Inn Old Saybrook is a pleasant spot to get some rest; Gillette Castle State Park is a good site                  to visit. So much amusing stuff near Moodus Reservoir, just amazing. If you came for an overnight stay Devil's Hopyard State Park is a pleasant site to camp; an afternoon playing golf at Chanticlair Public Golf Course is always a pleasure. Through the wintertime the highs are usually in the 30's, and night lows at Moodus Reservoir through the wintertime generally descend into the 10's.
