After a long day outdoors Executive Inn and Suites Old Saybrook is a great site to spend a night or two, and you're perhaps addicted to lakes, Pickerel Lake is one of those nearby. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Roaring Brook River; Wolf's Den Family Campground is a perfect local campground. | | look at Pickerel Lake Brook, and perfect skiing awaits you at Powder Ridge. The high level of precipitation makes Moodus Reservoir a reasonably wet site; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is July. Lakes are splendid; Bashan Lake is a lake that's close to Moodus Reservoir; Salmon River is a magnificent whitewater spot nearby. to visit. So much amusing stuff near Moodus Reservoir, just amazing. If you came for an overnight stay Devil's Hopyard State Park is a pleasant site to camp; an afternoon playing golf at Chanticlair Public Golf Course is always
a pleasure. For the duration of the warmest time of the year at Moodus Reservoir temperatures are usually in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 60's. Through the wintertime the highs are usually in the 30's,
and night lows at Moodus Reservoir through the wintertime generally descend into the 10's. Moodus Reservoir is close to Moodus Reservoir Dam which is a pretty place certainly worth going to, and there are plenty of people from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford here.

Odetah Campground
 | 18 miles away I am staying at odatah camp ground as I write this thay have wi-fi which is great. This is our first time here and we love it. we will be comming back many more times. We are staying in a nice cabin, but thay have very good camp sites as well. are cabin has a fridge,doubble bed,three twin beds but the (twins are a little narrow). This morning we played horseshoes Yhe seasonal campers were very under standing of are unfamiliarity with the game and had a wonderful time.we then went swimming in the lake. that was great. we then went in the pool and the hottub. hottub was nice and big. we then played shuffleboard and went to a barbeque(exellent ribs)and listen to a very good band. All in one day. can't wait for tomorrow.... |
