If you are in Litchfield county it's always a good idea to stop by Mohawk Pond. After a long day outdoors Boulders Inn Lake Waramaug is a good location to spend a night or two, and if you're looking for a beach close by we recommend Litchfield Town Beach. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Valley In The Pines Campground is always a wonderful experience, and Stonybrook Golf Course is a golf course nearby. Man, is there plenty of cool things to do next to Mohawk

| | Pond. Jennings Hill is pretty and can be made out from Mohawk Pond, and pleasant skiing awaits you at Woodbury. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Shepaug River. A swamp like Bear Swamp in the vicinity of Mohawk Pond has lots of exciting things to see, and if you need a spot to stay Litchfield Inn is a great choice. The warmest time of the year at Mohawk Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. | |

The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Mohawk Pond temperatures plunge to the 10's. The Appalachian National Scenic Trail offers hiking at its best, and in the event that
you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bantam River. You can never get enough of the glorious skiing at Mohawk Mountain, and there's brilliant hiking along the Mattatuck Trail.
If only every site had this much outdoors entertaining things, what a great earth it would be. If you came to camp Mohawk Campground is a tremendous place to do that, and lots of folks from Torrington come here. Mohawk Pond is
a pretty wet place regularly with a good deal of rain; most of the rain falls throughout August; February meanwhile is the driest month. Everybody loves Mohawk Mountain State Park, and Mohawk State Forest is a forest that you can
go to. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Elbow Trail, and if you get bored of Mohawk Pond you could also check out close by Clark Pond.
