Valley In The Pines Campground is a great place for that, and if you want to hit the beach, Litchfield Town Beach is close by. Mohawk Pond usually gets a lot of rain; the month with most of the rain is August while February is
typically the driest month. So many exciting things to do at Mohawk Pond, so little time. Really great skiing awaits you at Mohawk Mountain, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Torrington here. This lake is so wonderful. Going for
a hike on the Elbow Trail is always a splendid adventure, and Stonybrook Golf Course is a great golf course close by. This lake is so wonderful. Really good skiing awaits you at Woodbury, and going for a hike on the Mattatuck
Trail is always a splendid adventure. There's so much to do here at Mohawk Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Housatonic Meadows State Park is a great place for that; from Mohawk Pond you get a tremendous vista of Jennings Hill.
