If you like lakes and you're in this part of Connecticut you can check out Milton Pond. A good deal of rain falls at Milton Pond; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is February. There are great places to look at along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, and in case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Shepaug River. delightful. On a pleasant day it's a tremendous idea to spend the day at Morris Town Beach, and why not camp at Valley In The Pines Campground while you're here at Milton Pond. Any time is a magnificent time at Milton Pond if
you like the outdoors. A magnificent close by hotel is Tollgate Hill Inn; Bantam River is a great whitewater spot close by. Torrington Super 8 Motel is a good site to get some rest; magnificent water scenery is available at Goose
Pond Dam next to Milton Pond. A wonderful lake like Goose Pond next to Milton Pond is a great spot to check out, and Mount Prospect is a peak you can see from Milton Pond. For the duration of the warm days of summer at Milton
Pond temperatures are regularly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Milton Pond temperatures sink to
the 10's. This place rocks, just look at all the cool things to do near Milton Pond. Skiing at Woodbury is one of those things you just ought to do, and if you came for an overnight stay Hemlock Hill Camp Resort and Co-operative is
a tremendous location to camp. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water close by, Marshepaug River is a stream you can visit while you're here, and scenic scenery and fine skiing is what you acquire at Mohawk Mountain.
