A delightful spot to camp here at Mill Pond is Wolf's Den Family Campground; after a long day outdoors Days Inn Old Saybrook is a great place to spend a night or two. Hillside Links Golf Course is a golf course close to Mill Pond, and if you're here, you could also take a look at beautiful Birch Millpond. Why not camp at Devil's Hopyard State Park if you're here at Mill Pond; Salmon River has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot close by. During your stay

| | at Mill Pond do explore close by Chapman Beach; you can take a little tour to Mill Pond Dam if you're here at Mill Pond. The high level of rain makes Mill Pond a pretty wet place; May is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Cove, and Super 8 Old Saybrook is a perfect spot to get some rest. Through the summertime highs here at Mill Pond reach the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with winter
lows in the 10's overnight here at Mill Pond. If only every site had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great globe it would be. Book Hill can be seen from Mill Pond. Getting to Mud River from Mill Pond is trouble-free,
and a splendid location like Selden Neck State Park is too glorious to leave out. Man, is there a lot of enjoyable stuff to do close to Mill Pond. On a perfect day you can pop by Pequot Swamp, a swamp near Mill Pond, and one of the best things about this site is its proximity to Chalker Beach.
