Why not camp at Devil's Hopyard State Park if you're here at Mill Pond; Salmon River has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot close by. During your stay       at Mill Pond do explore close by Chapman Beach; you can take a little tour to Mill Pond Dam if you're here at Mill Pond. The high level of rain makes Mill Pond a pretty wet place; May is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Sunset Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by; paddling on Hammonasset River is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Mill Pond, do take a trip to Middle                  Cove, and Super 8 Old Saybrook is a perfect spot to get some rest. Through the summertime highs here at Mill Pond reach the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Mill Pond. If only every site had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great globe it would be. Book Hill can be seen from Mill Pond. Getting to Mud River from Mill Pond is trouble-free, and a splendid location like Selden Neck State Park is too glorious to leave out. Man, is there a lot of enjoyable stuff to do close to Mill Pond.
