| | experience. Miles Pond gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; the month with most of the rain is May, and February on the other hand is the driest.
The fine folks of Torrington like to hang out close by, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Pine Swamp is right nearby. Mudge Pond Town Beach is a beach in the vicinity of Miles Pond that you can pop by, and hiking along the Appalachian National Scenic
Trail is wonderful fun. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Ski Butternut, and a lake close by is Wononskopomuc Lake. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Miles Pond. Get drenched paddling on Housatonic River, and when you're
here it's always fun to pop by Housatonic Meadows State Park.
The skiing at Mohawk Mountain is delightful. After a long day outdoors Sharon Motor Lodge is a great spot to spend a night or two, and Miles Pond is perfect enough
to spend more than a day at, Housatonic Meadows State Park is a perfect local campground. Summertime highs at Miles Pond regularly tend to be in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Miles Pond descend into the 10's.
