Housatonic Meadows State Park is a wonderful campground nearby, and a good nearby hotel is Sharon Motor Lodge. A day at charming Mudge Pond Town Beach near Miles Pond is a perfect thing to do. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Miles Pond; Elbow Trail is a brilliant local trail, and       Miles Pond Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out. From Miles Pond you acquire a delightful panorama of Mount Easter; the slopes of Ski Butternut are so inviting nobody can resist. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, and a lake close by is Bauer Pond. Red Rocks is an out of the ordinary site to pop by while at Miles Pond, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Mohawk Mountain. But wait,                  there's more to do close to Miles Pond. Pine Swamp is an interesting swamp in close proximity to Miles Pond; after a long day outdoors Blackberry River Inn is a wonderful place to spend a night or two. Miles Pond is a good place of typical rainfall; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain while February is typically the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Hamlin Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to; you'll most likely meet some people from Torrington here. High temperatures at Miles Pond during the long summer days are in the 80's, and the overnight is a bit chillier of course, commonly in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's, and night lows during the wintertime for Miles Pond tend to be in the 10's. This place, Miles Pond, it completely has so much outdoors fun stuff.
