A visit to Migeon Pond is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of Ski Sundown is just what you need, and while you're here, you could also go to beautiful Hatchaloosie Reservoir. Whitewater paddling is great on Bantam River. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Migeon Pond has to offer, you can camp at Burr Pond State Park; you'll stumble on a charming lake called Whist Pond. Hill Inn is a wonderful choice; the snow is good at Mohawk Mountain. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Migeon Pond while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 20's; winter nights come
with lows in the 10's to Migeon Pond. All the water falling down from the sky makes Migeon Pond a wet spot; June is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Not far from
Migeon Pond you get some good water scenery at Whist Pond Dam; you're sure to bump into some fine folks from Torrington here. This place is great, just explore all the fun stuff to do in close proximity to Migeon Pond. Enjoy a round
of golf at Stonybrook Golf Course not far from Migeon Pond, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Mattatuck Trail. So much fun stuff to do at Migeon Pond, so little time. Paddling on Farmington River is so much fun, and John A. Minetto State Park is both splendid and charming.
