Summertime highs at Middle Reservoir usually tend to be in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Middle Reservoir are in the 10's. You can run the rapids of Quinebaug River near Middle Reservoir, and there is a fine hiking trail close by called the Border Trail.       All the water falling down from the sky makes Middle Reservoir a wet spot; November is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is February. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. Swamps like Mowry Meadow are fun to explore, and camping at Oakleaf Family Campground is always a good experience. Kentuck Ledges is an out of the ordinary thing to spot since you're here at Middle Reservoir, and Quaddick State Park is both                  wonderful and beautiful. A nice spot for whitewater paddling next to Middle Reservoir is Clear and Branch. This lake is so wonderful. A gorgeous lake like Alvia Chase Reservoir near Middle Reservoir is a magnificent location to have a look at, and after a long day outdoors Americas Best Value Inn Brooklyn is a tremendous location to spend a night or two. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll go for Middle Reservoir. Why not take a look at Acme Pond Dam while you're here, and going for a hike on the Munyan Trail is always a nice adventure. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent vista of charming Alva Pond Hill is available from Middle Reservoir; lakes are such calm places, why not stop at Bog Meadow Reservoir. Enjoy a round of golf at Foster Country Club not far from Middle Reservoir, and Middle Reservoir is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Stateline Campresort is a brilliant local campground.
