This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Farmington River - Collinsville; at Merimere Reservoir you always meet someone from New Haven-Milford. Now, you may imagine that's a heap but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Merimere Reservoir. Merimere Reservoir is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Little City Campground is a tremendous place to camp nearby, and Wharton Brook State Park is a splendid spot. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Merimere Reservoir you can take a hike along the Tunxis Trail; you ought to absolutely explore beautiful Dossin Park Beach if you're here.
