Go to Lake Mead if you want to go to a nice lake. This lake is so wonderful. You can catch a glimpse of Round Hill from Lake Mead, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Mead; Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a great local trail. After a long day outdoors Doral Arrowwood Conference Resort is a tremendous site to spend a night or two. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Lake Mead has to offer, you can camp at Camp Echo Lake. This

There's some attention-grabbing stuff to see at F W Perry Pond Dam in the neighborhood of Lake Mead, and if you want to hit the beach, Harbor Point Beach is in the vicinity. the water falling down from the sky makes Lake Mead a wet site; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily May, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is January. Be careful coming to Lake Mead, you might not ever wanna
return back home again. Take a side trip to Wampus River, and Lake Mead is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Soundview Sports is a perfect place to camp nearby. For the period of the summer highs here at Lake Mead
reach the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lake Mead are in the 10's.

 | 16 miles away ...ery Christmas the people of the surrounding lk. There were none on the east side of the lake at the time. Well we would collect our Christmas trees around fifty or so and dig them into the ice about forty ft apart and make two rows . Then we would all set a time and light em,, and we would skate , fish ,whatever the lines of trees ran from the n.west dock to the east..the clam bakes were held at the other lk..haven just up the stream that ran along my house..After the dam broke from lk haven the water flooded down into our house..What a flood..seems after that we sold the house to a fireman ,,and then our course by accident the house burnt down ,,and I thought fireman were supposed to put out fires not start em .hello to all that still prevail on chestnut ridge. yea I also went to school with Henry Winkler.. And back then we used to trick or treat all the way down to route six..camp sycamore well I still have my green card with the red paper wonder if its still good..the camp was but a lake with a cottage or two..and a cool as heck dirt road..I went to Austin rd elem.my age now is fo... |
Lounsbury Pond
