This lake is so wonderful. Get wet paddling on Quaboag River. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Natchaug River, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Regent Inn is a tremendous location to spend a night or two. Summertime highs at McLaughlin Pond usually tend       to be in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at McLaughlin Pond. Looking for some flowing water? Try Bebbington Brook, and McLaughlin Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Nickerson Park Camp Grounds is a good local campground. Knowlton Hill is a peak you can see from McLaughlin Pond, obviously you could                  also have a look at Varga Pond if you're here; it's not far at all. There are plenty of folks from Willimantic here at McLaughlin Pond; McLaughlin Pond Dam is a beautiful place, definitely worth going to. The high level of rain makes McLaughlin Pond a quite wet site; most of the rain falls through November, and the driest month is February. So many cool things to do here at McLaughlin Pond, too great to be true.
