Camping is available at Oak Haven Family Campground, and a lake nearby is New Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Bald Hill is gorgeous and can be distinguished from Mathews Pond, and Mathews Pond is not the only place nearby, Upper Pond is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to come across       some friendly folks from Willimantic here. Travelodge Sturbridge is a great site to get some rest, and if you're here, you could stop by Cedar Swamp Brook. You truly have to go for Mathews Pond. A fine place to camp here at Mathews Pond is Roaring Brook Campground; a tremendous nearby hotel is Rodeway Inn Willington. Natchaug River is a nice whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Mathews Pond, and Bigelow Hollow State Park is a glorious site to stretch your                  legs a bit. The high level of rainfall makes Mathews Pond a quite wet location; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here; February meanwhile is the driest month.
