     Dry warm beds await you at Nathan Hale Inn And Conference Center, and do stop at Fishers Brook while you're here at Mansfield Recreation Pond. There are some splendid whitewater spots on Salmon River, and a tour to Mansfield Hollow State Park when you're here is never a bad idea. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Hanks Hill Pond is nearby. A great deal of rain falls at Mansfield Recreation Pond; during the month of November you get the most rain around  
   here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
If you need a location to stay Best Western Regent Inn is a great choice; at Mansfield Recreation Pond you always meet someone from Willimantic. High temperatures at Mansfield Recreation Pond through the summertime months are in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Mansfield Recreation
 
               Pond temperatures drop to the 10's. Not far from Mansfield Recreation Pond, you'll come across Chapins Pond which is a charming lake, and an attention-grabbing thing to go to near Mansfield Recreation Pond is Mansfield Recreation Pond Dam.
This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Natchaug River offers some magnificent whitewater; Mansfield Recreation Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Brialee Campground is a great local campground. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff near Mansfield Recreation Pond. The summit of Wolf Rock can be distinguished from Mansfield Recreation Pond, and camping at Moosemeadow Camping Resort is always a good experience.
