Lower Ross Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Hide-a-way Cove Campground is a pleasant local campground, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Brooklyn Golf Course. Going for a hike on the Walkabout Trail is always a wonderful       adventure, and at Lower Ross Pond you can catch a sight of Half Hill. That right there is lots already, but it carries on; Lower Ross Pond has it all. There are wonderful locations to explore along the Munyan Trail, and a lake nearby is Furnace Pond. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can go to Lower Ross Pond Dam, and Americas Best Value Inn Brooklyn is a fine place to get some rest. You could also check out Ross Pond while you're here at Lower                  Ross Pond; it's close by, and nearby you locate the Border Trail which is a delightful hiking trail. During the warm months, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Lower Ross Pond. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Lower Ross Pond temperatures fall to the 10's. Lower Ross Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain while February is frequently the driest month. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. A fine location to camp here at Lower Ross Pond is Silver Ridge Campground, and Mashamoquet Brook State Park is a splendid place to go. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious location for whitewater paddling near Lower Ross Pond is Natchaug River; you'll most likely meet some people from Willimantic here. This lake is so wonderful.
